And here is how we are going to start…

In February of 2020 we invite you to set 20 little goals that will significantly improve how you feel every single day — goals you can actually do, and keep doing, all year long. You don’t have to do them all in one day, one week, or even one month. But you do have to do them.

And here’s why…

Resolutions, workout challenges, big life overhauls, and so many other things we tend to put upon ourselves at the start of a new year are often about the end result; feeling better/healthier/stronger/faster/richer/more in love etc. And so we start scurrying around frantically trying to get there without really stopping to consider how all the little things you do in a day are playing against your progress.

What so many of us need is not another resolution, but a whole lot less chaos, distraction, and stress standing in between where we are, and where we want to be. We need more time, space, and intention to prioritise what really matters. So Studio MOVE invites you to distil what is important within your daily grind, find integrity within the everyday push and pull on your time and energy, and to clarify goals that really mean something to the real you, not the social media you, or work you, but YOU! It is a year to get something better out of every damn day.

So no, this February we are not challenging you to work out every day. This is not a competition. This is just about you. To get you started, we’ve created a list of ideas - sample goals you can draw inspiration from, or simply build your list of 20 from.

Choose your goals

As you read through them, take the ones that speak to you, leave behind what doesn’t, add your own flare, create your unique list of 20. Then, DO THEM. Simple as that. If it helps to put reminders in your phone, do that. Or write down a few on a sticky note on your car dashboard so you remember to follow up!

  • Go to a new class
  • Sleep with your phone in the other room for a night
  • Don't use social media for 24 hours
  • Meditate for 10 minutes
  • Treat yourself to a fresh juice
  • Walk or ride your bike to the studio
  • Read a book
  • Say no or….say yes
  • Write down one big thing you are going to accomplish this week
  • Turn your phone on do not disturb for 2 hours, just because you can
  • Unsubscribe to 5 emails you don’t need to sift through
  • Be on time
  • Take a rest day
  • Take two classes back to back
  • Write down 5 things you LOVE about yourself
  • Go for a walk
  • Introduce yourself to someone at the studio you don't know
  • Turn the TV off
  • Cook a homemade meal
  • Pack your lunch
  • Use a re-usable mug
  • Write a thank you note to someone who improved your week
  • Try a new food or recipe
  • Get away from your desk for 5 minutes every 2 hours
  • Sit up straight while you work
  • Take a nap
  • Stop doing 1 thing that doesn’t make you feel good
  • Help a stranger
  • Learn a breathing exercise that helps combat stress
  • Go to bed 30 minutes earlier
  • Stop hitting the snooze button
  • Enlist a friend to come workout with you
  • Sit down to a no-phone, no-tv dinner with friends or family
  • Create 30 minutes of me time in your morning routine
  • Call someone you love
